I came from Iligan City one of the cities of Mindanao, Philippines. Our barangay was being known as the Industrial barangay within the city because there were at least five (5) existing plant companies operating there, and yet working opportunities scarce. That’s why I went here in Cebu, Cebu City, to look for a job. Fortunately English Island Management hired me as online English teacher. It’s a lot of fun exploring outside our comfort zone, meet new circle of friends while working in a very exciting environment, and being an ESL teacher. We are six siblings in the family. I am the second to the youngest. By God’s grace and mercy, thanks to my mother, though life was tough, she able to send us school in spite of hardships and difficulties we’d encountered, after my father’s death twenty-two years ago now. One of my older brother migrated to California, USA together with his 2 lovely daughters and a loving wife. He worked there as an American navy while his wife working as a nurse. He planned to petition us when the right time comes, but for now my mother will go first. But, for me I prefer to stay here in the country. I am happily married and have been blessed with a very talented six (6) year old son.

Successful students possess characteristic such as: willingness to listen to the language as well as desire to experiment with the language, and willingness to ask questions and desire to learn. Teaching is exciting as well as rewarding, especially when students learned something from the teacher and able to absorb and use the language in their daily lives as application of what they’ve learned. Let’s learn! It’s a lot of fun!

One of my goals in teaching is to be able to teach my students effectively and efficiently. It’s my passion to teach. In teaching the teacher should be patient and kind, should really love teaching and motivate learners, and enthusiast and energetic. I want my learners enjoy learning while studying, because for me learning is fun! It’s a lot of fun. It’s a great reward in the part of a teacher when students successfully learned and absorbed every discussion tackled.

The Amazing Race was one of my favorites on television program. This game was so exciting and big prizes waits. Candidates must be physically, mentally and psychologically fit for the game. Initiative was one of the most important key to win this exciting race, aside from patience and teamwork in order for them to stay on the game and win a million dollars. It’s a lot of fun though tough, exhausting and yet rewarding because they were given opportunities to travel some famous and exciting places around the globe. If I will be given a chance to play in this game, it would be a great honor and privilege to be part of this race. <
