- About Hometown and Family:
I basically grew up in the countryside in the province of Bukidnon, Mindanao. During my childhood, my family had transfered residence more than three times. Such experience brought me the opportunity to meet and make friends with various people. By the time I entered High School, I was sent to the city to study and lived with my grandmother. Although I like the hustle and bustle of the city life, I still prefer the life in the countryside as it less complicated and more relaxing.
私は、ミンダナオ島のブキドノンの田舎で生まれ育ちました。子供の頃、私の家族は三回以上引越しをしています。この経験が様々な人と友達になる機会を与えてくれました。高校に入るまでには、私は、勉学のために都市部へ行き祖母と暮らしていました。都会の雑踏は好きでしたが、ごみごみせずリラックスした田舎の生活のほうが好きでした。 - Growing up in a big family is truly fulfilling. Being the fourth child, I shoulder the responsibility of looking after my younger siblings. Although we are quite many, we lack not in attention, care, and love from our parents. Right now, my family are the most important people in my life.
大世帯での生活は本当に充実していました。私は四人目の子供だったので、弟妹の面倒を見なければいけませんでした。私達兄妹はとても多かったけれども、両親からは十分な愛情や面倒や受けていました。今も、私の家族は人生で最も大切な人達です。 - Comments to students:
Having a lesson with my students is always a delight. Knowing that they are quite determine to better their English skills is awe-inspiring. It gives me the drive to do my best in aiding them become fluent in the language.
生徒さんと一緒にレッスンをすることはいつも楽しみです。生徒さんが英語力が向上することを決心したことを知るととても畏敬の念を抱きます。生徒さんが英語を流暢に話せるようになることを手助けしたいと強く思っています。 - What amazes me the most are my student's dedication to study. This is very evident in their punctuality. Although some still hesitate to ask questions, there willingness to learn is enough proof of their sincerity to study English. It is also expected at first that some students will have difficulty expressing their ideas. But this problem can be surmounted as they continually study and use English whenever there's an opportunity.
私が一番驚いたことは学習に対する生徒さんの熱心さです。これは時間厳守な姿勢からもはっきりと垣間見ることができます。質問をすることを恥ずかしく思われる生徒さんもいらっしゃいますが、その気持ちは、英語を学ぶことに対する誠実さを十分あらわしています。最初は、自分の考えを表現することが出来ない生徒さんもいらっしゃると思います。しかし、機会があればいつでも英語を使い学んでいくことによってこの問題は解決すると思います。 - It also gives me the pleasure hearing about my students' daily accounts. Listening to them talk in English is simply rewarding.

Juggling my schedule between my two jobs leave me no time for entertainment, more often than not. But whenever there's an opportunity I'm partial in watching the series of Gossip Girl, Heroes, and House, M.D. Although on a daily basis, I try to squeeze in some time updating myself with both local and world news, especially those concerning the news in Asia.
二つの仕事をやりくりすると娯楽の時間はほとんどありません。しかし、時間があるときは、「Gossip Girl」、「Heroes」、「House」、「M.D」を見ています。基本は毎日ですが、地方ニュースや世界のニュース、特にアジアのニュースを見る時間を捻出しています。 - Goals and Dream as an English Teacher:
A student's success is a reflection on the kind of teacher he/she has. Which is why I make it to a point that each lesson is not only enjoyable but more importantly beneficial for my students. I also believe that learning is a two way process. As such, cooperation on both parties is highly needed. My role as a teacher is to guide and motivate my students every step of the way. By providing diverse lessons to address my students' needs, I'm positive that they will one day become effective and confident speakers in English.
生徒の成功は先生の影響に依存すると思います。重要なのは、生徒にとってレッスンは楽しいだけではなく、とても有益であることだと思います。また、学習というのは、相互作用から成るものです。例えば、仲間同士の協力のように、非常に必要です。私の先生としての役割は生徒さんを各ステップに対するモチベーションを上げること、そしてそこへ導くことだと思います。生徒さんの要望に答えるために様々なレッスンを提供することで、いつか効果を発揮し、自信を持って英語を話すことができるようになると思っています。 - My students' accomplishment is also my accomplishment. And seeing them achieve their goal, becoming proficient in English, is probably the most fulfilling experience there is.
生徒さんの成功は私の成功でもあります。そして生徒さんが目標、つまり英会話を上達することを達成することは、おそらく一番大きな達成感であると思います。 - About Japanese and Japan:
"Arigato" and "Sayonara" were the first Japanese phrases I've learned as a child when my uncle came home from Japan. Since then, I've gotten curious about Japan and its people. Being exposed every day to numerous Japanese students, it gives me a better understanding of Japan's splendor. And all the more I know about the country and its people, all the more that I'm impressed.
「ありがとう」と「さようなら」は、子供のころおじさんが日本から帰ってきたときに教えてもらった最初の日本語です。そのときから、私は日本と日本人に興味をもちました。毎日多くの日本人の生徒さんと接することで、日本人の素晴らしさをより理解できるようになりました。そして、日本や日本人についてますます知ることができ、その都度もっと感銘を受けています。 - One thing I greatly admire about Japanese is their discipline. No wonder Japan is so prosperous. Also, the friendliness and kindness of the Japanese shouldn't be underrated. And did I ever mention that Japanese are very courteous? They are probably the most courteous people I know.
- I'd like to broaden my knowledge of the country and its culture. And the only way to do that is to have a first-hand experience living in Japan. And that is exactly what I want to do one day.
日本人について感動することの一つは、規律正しいことです。日本が発展したことは最もだと思います。また、日本人の友好的で親切なことは高く評価されるべきだと思います。日本人はおそらく私が知っている人達のなかで最も礼儀正しい人間です。
