- About hometown and family
I was born and raised in the town of Argao, which is located on the 2nd district province of Cebu. My hometown is composed of 45 barangays and those barangays are now acknowledged as a first class barangays. The town was named after a tree called "Argao tree" which grown numerously in front of the town's church and plaza. Argao was considered as one of the most clean towns in Cebu South. The lavish natural resources of Argao had been carefully preserved by its constituents which brings out the true beauty of the town. Argao is surrounded by untouched greenbelts and free-flowing rivers. The town has now become one of the tourist's spots because of the beautiful sceneries which includes the "Riverstone Castle",a made-of-stone castle considered as a home of some endagered species of birds and monkeys. The old Argao church which had been built by Spaniards hundreds of years ago is indeed a historical evident that as time passed, Argao had been through civilization. The town had celebrated its 400 years of being one of the most visited towns in Cebu South.
My family had originally lived in Argao.I belong to a considered small family; consists of 5 members and I am the eldest among 3 chidren.I have my younger siblings: a brother and a sister. As the eldest child in the family, I was raised and taught to be responsible and god-fearing.It was my long-term goal to help my siblings finish their desired course or degree.
- Comments to students
I am not a teacher by profession but I got my license to teach. As a Communication graduate, I perceive teaching as a best option to be more effective in my field of specialization. Communication is a two-way process, which involves an encoder (source of information) and the decoder (the one who receives and translates the information). And so as teaching--it is indeed a two-way process. It involves a "teacher" who will impart knowledge to the receiver, who is the "student". I will be very eager to share my thoughts and knowledge in an one-on-one way of teaching. At the same time, I will be very happy to learn lot more things from my students-to-be as well. Hence, learning will be more fun when it comes along with open-mindedness and willingness to acknowledge new ideas.
- Favorite TV program and its contents
I love to watch news and get updated with the current events. I seldom watch a certain program but instead see the latest movie. I am interested in any genre of a movie yet I am so obsessed watching suspense and love stories.
- Goals and dreams as an English teacher
As an English teacher, my goal is to become an effective mentor of the universal language, English. I want to handle various classes wherein I can learn new things from a student who is of different nationality and at the same time, my student will be gaining knowledge from me. I dream to facilitate more classes;learning new things with my students since "learning is a never-ending process".
- About Japanese and Japan
As I have observed Japanese folks who visited the Philippines, I could say that they are very reserved and polite.Japanese culture reflects the attitudes of his people of the present which links to the past.
"Manga" comes into my mind when I think of Japan. Many anime and manga are becoming very popular for young people and teens nowadays. Japan is modern yet their culture is preserved. Such as their unity in beliefs or in religion.
