My hometown is Toledo City is quite far from the heart of Cebu City. It is located in the southern part of Cebu. Root crop farming is the main occupation of the people there. I could really say that it is a relaxing place, the air is fresh and you can really appreciate the beauty of nature. The people there are so friendly. Every month I try to visit my hometown and spend quality time with my family. I am the eldest among the three children. I and my sisters enjoy chatting with each other. Playing scrabble is the hobby of my family.

私の実家はセブの中心から南に離れた町にあります。農業が中心の町で、空気が良くて自然な美しいリラックスしたところです。人々もとても優しくて、月に一度は実家に買って家族と過ごす時間をもつようにしています。

So far, I haven’t encounter problems in dealing with my students. So, I could say that Japanese students are open-minded; they accept mistakes and try to develop their weaknesses, especially in their pronunciation. Students really value their time, they make use of their vacant time studying English and once they are studying, they always make it sure that they would learn something at the end of the topic. I appreciate students who are asking questions during the class, which simply means that they are really interested to learn. Students are also understanding. There are times where in the internet connection is not so good, the conversation would not be as clear as expected, but students try to understand the situation.

これまで、生徒さんのことで困ったことはありません。日本の生徒さんは心が広くて、間違いを認め、弱点を克服することに懸命だといえます。みなさんはとても英語の勉強に熱心で、各トピックスの終わりには必ずなにかをつかんでいます。生徒さんがレッスンに興味をもって質問をしてくれることにも感謝しています。

I love watching game shows; “Pilipinas Game Ka Na Ba?” is my favorite game show. It is a famous game show in Philippines. General Information, Science, Mathematics, Fashion and Literature questions are asked in the show. I also learn something while watching the show.

私は“Pilipinas Game Ka Na Ba?”というゲームショーが好きです。これはフィリピンで人気な番組で、一般情報や科学、数学、ファッションや文学に関するクイズが出題されるので、勉強になります。

As an English teacher, my goal is to let the students learn and speak English fluently. I want them to apply the lesson they have learned during the class. I want to hear them expressing their opinions and ideas freely. I dream that someday, students will remember me as one of the person who have help them in learning English.

私は先生として生徒さんが英語を学び、流暢に話せるようになることを目指しています。授業のなかで学ぶものがあるように、意見を自由にかわしてほしいと思います。いつか生徒さんが、英語を学ぶ手助けになった人として私のことを思い出してくれればいいなと願っています。

Japanese are hardworking people; they value their work very much. In terms of learning, they are fast learner. They can comprehend easily and able to develop their skills. Japan as a country is viewed as an improved country, especially in terms of technology, so no wonder if the people also will develop their self as fast as their technology.

日本人は仕事に熱心で、勤勉な人たちです。勉強においても飲み込みが早く、簡単に理解し、スキルを挙げることができています。日本は特にテクノロジーの分野でとても進歩した国なので、個々の勉強においても急速に向上させられると思います。
