My hometown is in Cagayan de Oro City. It is located in the southern part of the Philippines. Cagayan de Oro is considered to be the melting pot of Mindanao. It is a growing city with lots of tourist attractions. I am the only child in the family. My father is an engineer and my mother is a nurse. They just recently retired and they are now managing our own small family business. I was brought up well by my parents; they taught me that respect is essential in every kind of friendship. Our family has very close ties with each other especially now that I am currently living in Cebu City and my parents are in the province.

I love to watch the History Channel, Discovery Channel and The National Geographic Channel. Ever since I was a child, I have always loved my history class. I love learning about the past and learning about new things that I haven’t yet known. These channels provide lots of information and make you explore about new things.

I have been teaching since 2008. I stuck with this occupation because I found teaching challenging and at the same time very fun. During my classes, I also see to it that my student and I have a good relationship; in this case we would be comfortable with each other. I am a cheerful and friendly person and my former students, most of them were Japanese, always enjoy my class. For me, learning is FUN-TASTIC.

My goal is for my students to learn in my class. When my students learn, it would be a very rewarding experience for me. I love to teach and I always put my best foot forward in everything I do. It takes passion and love for the job for you to be a productive teacher, that’s why I imply those in my life. If I’m productive, then my students will learn and at the same time, will love my class.

I have always been fascinated with Japan’s rich culture. Some of my dreams are to go to Japan and visit temples, touch the cherry blossoms and wear a kimono. Ever since I watched the movie “Hachiko” I dreamed of going to Hachiko’s statue at Shibuya Station. The Japanese are a very respectful, polite and friendly bunch. And I would love to have many good friends from Japan.
