I grew up in Matutinao which is located in the South part of Cebu where you can find the famous Kawasan Falls. It’s a place endowed with clear spring waters as well as beautiful beaches. People in my hometown earned most of their income as a tourist guide, fisherman, and selling native delicacies and souvenirs to the tourists.
I came from a simple family. My father once a fisherman decided to be a plant operator to sustain our family’s needs. My mother is a plain housewife. I have an older sister and after 17 years of long wait, my cute-little sister was born whom I adore and love so much. She is my motivation, aside from my parents, to every dream I want to achieve because I want her to have a good education and a nice future.

カワサン滝で有名なセブ島の南にある、マツチナオという所に住んでいます。ビーチと湧き水がとても美しい場所なので、町の人々は観光に関連してガイドやお土産屋などを主な仕事にしています。私の父は漁師でしたが生計のためにプラント運転員をしています。母は専業主婦で、私の姉と、１７つ離れた愛しい妹がいます。彼女は私のモチベーションであります。今後、彼女に良い教育を受けさせるためにも、頑張りたいと思っています。

As a student for many years, I had experienced classes were one was good and the other was terrible. A teacher’s deftness in handling classes is the key to a student’s excellence. I believe learning should be as fun as doing what you love or else boredom can pull you away from it. I am not promising anything but I will do my very best in helping my students learn and develop their English skills because a student’s learning status is the gauge to a teacher’s skills.

生徒としていろんなクラスを経験したので、熟練の講師が受け持つクラスの方が、生徒の長所が伸びると感じてます。私は学ぶことは、好きなことをやるのと同じ位でちょうど良いのだと信じています。学ぶ英語のスキルが講師のスキルでもあるので、ベストをつくします。

I love playing DOTA, a computer game, since I was in college. I enjoy playing it with my friends and classmates. What I love so much about this game is the cleverness and teamwork in order to defend your vicinity in the game. When I am home, I take pleasure in reading English novels by Nicholas Sparks, James Rollins and Sydney Sheldon. I’m also fond of reading magazines like Reader’s Digest. But the thing that makes me settle in my room the entire day is watching movies or listening to music.

私は大学生のときから、友達やクラスメートと、DOTAというテレビゲームをやっています。何が好きかといえば、チームワークと同時に冷静さが必要とされるところです。　家に帰ると、ニコラス・スパークスを読みます。ジェームス・ローリンやシドニー・シェルダンもよく読みます。リーダーズダイジェストのような雑誌も読みますが、映画鑑賞や音楽鑑賞もすきで、ずっと家にいたりします。

As an English teacher, I would like to gain respect from my students and acquire their confidence towards my ability to offer them the knowledge they crave for. Basically, as a teacher I want my student to show progress in every lesson I have with them without losing the fun side of teaching.

英語の先生として、必要とされている知識や自信を与えたいです。基本的に、レッスンのたびに進化が感じられるようになれば理想です。

Japan is one of the greatest countries in the world. I always admire Japanese for their tremendous endeavor to put Japan to where it is now, a country with vast economy. I’m greatly amazed by how Japan struggle to emerge from the past devastations and bring back a stronger country. Japanese are hard-working, refined, and modest. They never stop learning and continue to discover and create things to continue crowning Japan its glory.

日本は素晴らしい国の一つです。弛まぬ努力に大きな経済力。私は過去の荒廃から強い国への復興した日本に驚嘆しています。日本は勤勉で控えめで、とても洗練されています。学ぶことを止めず発見と創造を続けていく日本は、本当に凄いと思っています。
