- About hometown and family
When I was a child I dreamed of living in the city. Now, that I have grown up, things change just as the time did. Indeed, nothing is constant in this world but change. My hometown is Davao City. It is located in Mindanao Island, the fruit basket of the Philippines. Here, when you hear the place Davao, people will associate it to banana. Thus, most of the bananas are from Davao. I am very proud of my hometown, although, we move here in Cebu since I was 6 years old. People in that place are very conservative and hospitable.
I grow up in a very conservative way. My parents are devoted Christian. My father is strict yet, I know deep inside him lays a soft heart. He is very thoughtful. We, in the family are very close to each other.

On my first time of teaching English with foreigners, I feel excited yet nervous because I know I will be dealing with people who have different cultures, traditions, beliefs, and personalities. Surprisingly, I love my teaching job more than I ever thought. I am so happy to have students who are very understanding, nice, and friendly. Of course professionalism in both teacher and student prevail. I really appreciate it that students open up and give their opinions and ideas explicitly and sincerely. One thing that can make the conversation difficult is when we don’t say things from our heart. Some students are afraid to commit mistake, which does not help them to improve their English skills. It really feels good to know that someone believes and trust your capabilities and abilities despite the fact that no one is perfect. The thought of having student is already rewarding, much more if we able to partake them useful information which student can use and help improve their English abilities. There is nothing more fulfilling for teachers than to see their students improving because it means effectiveness in our chosen profession. For student, please do not expect your teacher to be infallible - no one is. Learning is an unending process. I really believe that “you will never know your capabilities unless you give your self a try”.
異なる文化、伝統、信仰、パーソナリティを持つ外国人に英語を教えることに当初は不安もありましたが、生徒さんはとても思いやりがあってフレンドリーなので、この仕事を大好きになりました。生徒さんが心を開いて、誠実に意見を述べてくれることにとても感謝しています。失敗を恐れていては、英語は向上しませんので、自分の能力を信じるべきです。生徒さんの進歩を見るのが教師にとってなによりの喜びです。学習は終わりのない過程です。「挑まなければ自分の能力を知ることはできません。」 -

Goals and dreams as an English teacher
My goals and dreams as a teacher are just very simple, that is to see my student successful and happy. For teachers, it is very important to identify the problem and the weak points of the students, for us to give the right teaching strategy for them. If I could see my students are improving even just a little it’s already very fulfilling. My goal is to help them speak English well.
教師として私の目標はとてもシンプルなことで、生徒さんが上手く学び、楽しんでいるのを見ることです。教師にとって、生徒さんの問題や弱点を知り、正しい方法で教えることはとても重要です。少しでも生徒さんの進歩が見られたら、とても満たされた気持ちになります。英語をうまく話せるように力になりたいと思っています。
