1. Full name: Victoria Gascon 2. Former university: Cebu Normal University 4. Birth date: November 17, 1981 5. About hometown and family I belong to a big and wholesome family. I have one brother and five sisters. My siblings and I are really close to each other. We treat each member as close friend and we used to make funny jokes which fills laughter and happiness to each member. During weekends, we used to gather together and chat about all the activities we had during the weekdays. We love singing so during our free time we sing together with my mother and brother as guitarists. Actually, we are all choir members in the church for almost 9 years. So we spend most of the time together not only at home but in all church activities as well. I live in a very peaceful hometown of which you can really feel the freshness of the air. My family likes gardening so our house is surrounded by a lot of tropical fruit trees and flowers. My parents taught us to be responsible and God-fearing individuals. So wherever we go and whatever we do, we always think that success is product of hard work and prayer. 6. Comments to students Actually, I’ve been teaching for more than four years in formal schools of which there are 25-30 students in a class. One of the schools where I taught, is an International School that caters/serves students with different nationalities like Japanese, Chinese, Koreans, Half-Americans, Half-Scottish, Half-Germans and Filipinos. While I was teaching in formal school, I also had part-time jobs like private tutorial for 3 years and online teaching for almost a year. 7. Favorite TV program and its contents I like to watch musical movies like Sound of Music, Phantom
Talking and dealing with other people is my passion that’s why I studied a teaching profession. My goal as a teacher is to help every student of mine to express themselves using the English language. I want each student to develop their potential as fluent English speaker to the fullest. I want them to be confident enough in talking with foreigners using the international language. 9. About Japanese and Japan I really appreciate Japanese for being positive-minded people. They are nationalistic which makes their country a very progressive one. Japan is quite small yet very rich and prosperous country. The country is really successful especially in International Trade because of the kind of people does Japan have. The people are hardworking, creative, resourcefulness and smart. They could develop their available resources to the fullest which makes their country a member of Well-Developed Countries (First-World Countries). | |
