3. Major in Univ.: Mathematics
4. Birth date: June 17, 1948
I was born in Watford; all I remember was looking to the bottom of the
road and seeing a steam train go by. Our family was poor, 4 of us to one
room, when my brother arrived there was 5, this qualified us for the new
state housing,’ luxury.’ My mother still lives there. Sadly my brother
died a cot death. My father was a reserve soldier and he went to Korea,
came back not a well man, he died when I was 9. My mother struggled to
keep us fed.
School was fun to me, it was full of books. We had no television so I read everything and anything.
My mother re married, he was a good man, he taught me patience and to explore
nature and encouraged me with all my hobbies. (New hobby, new words!)
Mathematics, engineering and the love of nature filled my mind.
When teaching I remember the past as I absorbed a new experience, and try
to pass on that feeling of wonder and excitement to my pupils.
I watched my son being born,(I have 3 children and 5 grand children now)
I am so proud I did it, ‘I faint at the sight of blood’
My life changed 30 years ago, setting out to learn to swim and the scuba dive, (taking pictures along the way) conquering the fear, seeing the dark abyss of the ocean, makes you realize the wonders of God’s work.
My life was work, buying a house, getting married, getting divorced and
scuba diving with a camera.
My life changed when my daughter gave me a computer to process and file
my efforts of photography, I am a self taught computer ‘nerd’ I used the
then fledgling internet, my world expanded.
My health suffered my working pace and lifestyle the doctors said would kill me. I decided to change my life.
I planned my escape to the Philippines and in 2004 my dream became a reality……Talk to me and find out more!!! |
