About hometown and family I grew up in a very peaceful town of Toledo City, one of the provinces of Cebu. I really treasured my hometown because it has lot of natural resources, the beaches are so fabulous, and also the cool breeze is so relaxing and fresh. You can see a huge dam or dike where it’s very nice for sightseeing and taking pictures. I know being a teacher is not an easy task or job. After I graduated in University, I started teaching English as a Second Language; all my students were Korean kids and teenager. There, I found out that teaching is very interesting. I observed the eyes of my students they were so glad every time they learned something from me, which for them can be added in there stock knowledge. Here in English Island, all I can say for my new students that I met is that they really tried their best just to speak English. They’re so friendly, understanding and most of all they’re ready to face challenges just to learn more. They wanted to speak more. So I let them talk and talk and gave some corrections when they committed mistakes in grammar. I taught them some vocabularies and informational article where they able to gave there speech about it. Some basic course and business course also are needed to improve there skills. I let them make their own sentences using the new vocabularies they knew. Finally, I conclude that teaching to other nationalities especially to Japanese is very challenging, interesting and really enjoying job. 7. Favorite TV program and its contents When it comes to T.V program I love “Game Ka Na Ba” you can found it in Filipino channel. It’s a kind of contest where intelligent people are the contestants. The host is very fluent in speaking English and also has a brilliant idea of everything. You can learn more information in that program. So interesting and can enhance your ability in all aspects. 8. Goals and dreams as an English teacher As an English teacher, my goal is to become an effective instructor to the students. To help the students become a good speaker in English is my greatest dream. For me, Japan is progressive and highly productive country. The people living there are diligent with their work, punctual and friendly. Japanese are so particular when it comes to grammar but some are a little bit shy to express their ideas. They are eager to learn about English especially to improve their speaking and listening skills. Lastly, I can say that Japan is really a good place where Japanese should be proud of. | |
