5. About hometown and family

My Hometown:

My hometown lies a few kilometers away from the second’s busiest airport in the Philippines, The Mactan-Cebu International Airport. The city is now hosting world class 5-star hotels since it’s really accessible to all of your travel need like beaches and fancy restaurants. Additionally, the most popular historical relic in our country is also found in my hometown, that’s the statue of the local chieftain Lapu-Lapu who defeated the Spaniards during the battle in 1521. This is where our city has named.

My Family:

I am the only daughter in the family (well not to mention my sister who died of cancer few years ago). I have four brothers, two who are married (who have three lovely kids) and two younger brothers. My father owns a furniture business. Before my sister diagnosed of cancer; we exported furniture and rattan as a way of living. Even if he’s business is not as booming as before, he still the best furniture designer and business man for me. My mother is a housewife, doing the laundry, preparing for my meals and milk. Ü. We all love weekends. Saturday is our boding day, we hang out in our porch and sing songs with my brothers playing their musical instruments. Two plays guitar, the other brother plays keyboard and the rest of us are singers, if not, we go karaoke, drink beer and eat grilled foods. This is the kind of family that I have. It’s a one big happy family because are a product of love. We will also make our own, the same exact kind family that we have.

6. Comments to students

English is a crazy language. One word could mean a lot of things. Some are confusing, dumb-founding and some are mind-blowing. Thus, learning English requires a great amount of time, effort and patience. In my experience I teach integrated English dynamically so students could find learning English invigorating and satisfying experience for them.

7. Favorite TV program and its contents

Here are my favorite TV programs.

-Prison Break
This is an American Television series with already two episodes. The story revolves around a man who was sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit and his brother’s plan to help him escape from prison. Much of the storyline concerns the conspiracy within the government of United States. This suspense and prison-drama series received awards and nominations in US and Canada.

-Grey’s Anatomy
This is also an American TV series which story revolves around the surgical interns in a fictional hospital called Seattle Grace Hospital in Seattle Washington. Witness how doctors revived half-dead people, give birth to complicated pregnancies, do some surgical operations and how they manage to go out at night despite their busy schedules. Every episode title usually comes from a song and you will learn lesson out from it. This is really enlightening and educational. The series is one of the most watched TV series in US.

-Desperate Housewives
It’s another American TV series and one of the most popular. Desperate Housewives is a story revolves around the lives of five women with different status in life and personalities. The show combines many styles such as comedy, drama, mystery and thriller.

8. Goals and dreams as an English teacher

My dream is to help people who are less fortunate, especially to cancer patients. As a teacher, I would want to own a school, specializing English language and Early childhood education.
As English teacher, I want to simply transform the non-English speaking country to be globally competitive in today’s economy.

9. About Japanese and Japan

Japan always fascinates me. What I know about this country are their foods, the Sumo wrestling, the ever popular cherry blossoms, their mastery of high technology and the richest and most expensive country to live in Asia. It might be their strong work-ethic that helped them become the second largest economy in the world after United States.
