5. About hometown and family
I come from a big and happy family. I have two brothers and three sisters and I’m second to the eldest.
When I was younger, I lived with my parents in a town 20 kilometers away from the city. Right in front of our house is one of the cleanest beaches in our province. In fact, many people want to go there for a swim. Beautiful scenery like corals and fishes can be seen underneath the sea. You can smell fresh air around you and listen to the birds singing songs. The common livelihood of people living in there is fishing. Right next to the town where I was living is the City where you can enjoy watching whales. My hometown is the place to be for relaxation.
After I graduated college, we moved here in Cebu. All I can say about this place is “FANTASTIC”. The Island paradise you’ve been looking for all your life. This is a great place to visit specially during summer and a great place to live in forever.
私の家族は大家族で、とても幸せな家庭です。2人の男兄弟と3人の女姉妹のいる家族の2番目に生まれました。幼い時は、市から20キロメートル離れた町に、両親と住んでいました。その家の目の前には、多くの人が泳ぎにやってくる、とてもきれいなビーチがあります。そこでは、かわいいサンゴや魚を見ることができます。空気も新鮮で、鳥のさえずりを聞くこともできます。そのため、町の多くの人の生計の手段は漁業です。町の隣の市では、クジラを見ることもできます。私の故郷はリラックスするのにとてもいい場所です。大学卒業後、セブに引っ越してきました。ここは“すばらしい”場所だと思います。地上の楽園のような場所です。夏に訪れたり、永久に住むにはもってこいの場所だと思います。
6. Comments to students
I got married to Japanese for about two years already. I learned a lot about their culture and would like to give back in return. The only way I can think is also giving them an opportunity to talk to different people in the world, “by teaching English”. Teaching English to Japanese people needs a bit of patience. They grew up with their own language only and get use to a different curl of their tongue in saying a word. I will help them pronounce English word appropriately and make them understand. If translation is necessary, I will try my best.
I might not have that great experience with me but I do have the passion which is the very important thing a teacher must have.
約2年前に日本人と結婚しました。日本の文化についてたくさん学んだので、そのお返しをしたいと思っています。そのため、英語を教えることで、日本人に世界のいろいろな人々と話せるようになって欲しいです。日本人に英語を教えることは少し根気のいることです。日本人は日本語だけを学んで育ってきており、日本語は英語と文法などが異なります。私は英語を正しく発音することと、理解することの手助けをしていきたいです。もし、訳が必要であるならば、最善を尽くします。すばらしい経歴の持ち主というわけではないかもしれませんが、先生に大切な情熱を持っています。
7. Favorite TV program and its contents
PRISON BREAK – this is an American serial drama television series. The story revolves to a man who was sentence to death for a crime he did not commit and his brother made a plan to help him escape his death sentence.
I encourage learning strategies to resolve a problem by myself. I learned that nothing is impossible when you got the determination to do things right. As the first character in the story said, “there is always an option for everything.” So I never give up when I come to the point where I think its impossible for me to do.
アメリカのテレビ番組のプリズンブレイクが好きです。無実の罪で死刑宣告された男性と彼を助けようと計画する兄弟の話です。私は、自分自身で問題を解決する戦略を考えながら見ています。この番組を通じて、正しいことをすると決意した場合には、不可能なことはないということを学びました。そのため、私は、不可能に思えることに直面しても、あきらめません。
8. Goals and dreams as an English teacher
My short term dream is to go to Japan and experience the way of living their. I know I learned a lot about their culture, but to experience it by myself can give me enough satisfaction especially when I got to touch the snow flakes of winter.
My long term goal is to have a stable business of my own and establish a loving family forever.
短期的な夢としては、日本に行き、日本の暮らしを経験することです。日本の文化について学びましたが、経験したことはありません。そのため、特に冬の雪を経験することができたら、とてもすばらしいと思います。長期的な夢は、安定したビジネスを行うことと、幸せな家庭を築くことです。
9. About Japanese and Japan
Ahh! JAPAN is so cool. The foods are delicious and so healthy, as a matter of fact, they are my favorite foods. They come along with my diet.
The people are so polite, very particular with the time that is why most of them succeeded in their career and made Japan a very successful country. I want to be like many of them in the future. I want to be influence by their attitudes, values and characteristics.
日本はとても素敵なところだと思います。食べ物はおいしく、健康的で、私のお気に入りです。ダイエットにも役立ちます。人々は礼儀正しく、時間に性格なので、多くの人が仕事で成功し、日本が豊かな国になったのだと思います。私もいつか日本人のように成功したいです。日本人の態度、価値観、特色に影響されたいです。
