My hometown is Bayawan City. It is located in Negros Island, 5 hour bus ride from Cebu.  My hometown has been declared a city 10 years ago, and I like it now because it's like a city on the countryside , we may not have big malls like in Cebu but the malls are quite modest.  Plus the air is still fresh and clean and you see lots of trees and green grasses.  I have 4 sisters and 1 brother .  I have a very supportive and loving family and because of modern communication, we manage to always keep in touch.  Once a month I make time to visit my mom back home and keep in touch with my one of my sister's family and play with my nephews and niece.  I like my hometown because its very laid back and very relaxing.  I also like coming home since I can rest without keeping track of time.  I can rest the whole day and nobody minds.  I can have fresh cooked meals anytime I want.  I agree with the saying: There's no place like home.

私はセブ島からすこし離れた町で生まれました。大きなモールはない田舎ですが、空気がきれいで緑も豊かなところです。私には５人の兄弟がいて、家族をとても大切に思っているので、月に一度は家族の元へ帰り、甥や姪と遊んでいます。故郷は時間を気にせずにリラックスできるので大好きな場所です。“There’s no place like home.”

I was surprised that majority of my  studenst are very well versed in English.  I have no major complaints about them.  They are also very polite and understanding and most of all very eager to learn English. I  never realized that they take learning English very seriously. I have one student who, after taking my class, would spend another  6 hours studying English .  I am really impressed with students like that.. They are keen in understanding and takes their lessons by heart always.  They are also very friendly

My favorite TV program  is TRAVEL and LIVING.  Because it showcases the 10 most beautiful places on earth, or 10 most beautiful beaches in the world which is so beautiful to watch.   I also like the shows Lonely Planet and shows that is about discovering Europe, once they featured Paris and London, it was so beautiful.   I love to travel and hope to visit these places someday.

お気に入りのテレビ番組は“TRAVEL and LIVING”という、世界で最も美しい１０の場所やビーチを紹介している番組です。また、”Lonely Planet”やヨーロッパのディスカバリー番組も好きです。旅行が好きなので、いつかそういった場所を訪れたいと思っています。

As an English teacher my goal is to help the student be confident with using ENGLISH as a second language.  I want them to be good English speakers with good pronunciation, diction and intonation and have good vocabulary in order to be able to speak their minds clearly and with confidence.  I hope to be able to really help my students learn English very well.

英語教師としての私の目標は、生徒さんが自信をもって第二言語として英語を使えるように助けることです。生徒さんには、思っていることを明確に話せるように、発音、話し方、イントネーション、ボキャブラリーをうまく操れるようになってほしいので、それをサポートできるようにと思っています。

I have known Japan as one of the richest countries in the world because they have very innovative and creative minds and we thank them for the latest innovations that majority of the people in the world are enjoying the comforts they give.  I also never realized that they take learning English very seriously. I have one student who, after taking my class, would spend another  6 hours studying English .  I am really impressed with students like that. Also, teaching them has opened the doors for me to be introduced to their culture, lifestyle and people.  It is always interesting to learn another person's culture and life.
